About the Movie

First of all, it's a movie. Picture Show. Movie. But it's so much more than just a movie. The writer, Richard O'Brien probably said it best. RHPS isn't just a movie, "It's a guaranteed party."
What other movie has a live action cast performing in front of the screen? What other movie expects audience members to get involved by yelling things at the screen and throwing special props around the room? What other movie gives you the chance to be whomever you want for a few hours, the chance to stop dreaming and the chance to be instead?
Oh, but what is it about, you ask? Ok. Fair enough. Rocky Horror is the story of Brad Majors (Barry Bostwick) and his fiancée Janet Weiss (Susan Sarandon), two young, ordinary, healthy kids, who set out to visit their old teacher, Dr. Scott (Jonathan Adams). But on their way there, their car breaks down and they're forced to walk to the creepy castle up the road, in search of a phone.

They don't find a phone. Instead, they find Dr. Frank N. Furter (Tim Curry), a mad scientist/sweet transvestite who's picked that night to complete his masterpiece, by bringing a man of his own creation (Peter Hinwood) to life.

What follows is a night that will change our two heros' lives forever--and it might change yours too.
Enough info for you? Well, that's all you're getting about the movie itself. You'll just have to come see it for yourself. But it's understandable that you're a bit nervous. Maybe you've seen all those guys and girls (and all the others!) waiting outside the theatre on Halloween, in fishnets and feathers. What goes on in there? Read on...
